About Me:
| Until the March of 2007 I was the Broker/Owner of
Gold Country Realty, a family owned, local business that has been in
the area since 1986. My mother Rena Mans was the original Broker of Gold Country Realty. She
helped a lot of folks get into their homes in this area. Her favorite
passion was being out with her husband Norm, riding their Harley. She
could often be seen hiking through the mountains with a section map
in her back pocket. Unfortunately Rena passed away in the Spring of 2000. I moved to Jamestown with my mother Rena and brother John
in 1972.
My brother and I went to the Elementary School in Jamestown for 3 years. We
then moved to Ward and I went to Nederland High School. From there to the
University of Colorado. I spent a lot of time in Central America and
traveling to other parts of the World. I then returned to Ward where my
wife and I had two sons. I've since moved back to Jamestown and now live in
my Grandmother's old house on Main St. Both of my boys have enjoyed
going to
the same Elementary School here in town. Jamestown is a great place to call home.

I have a strong commitment to our Mountain Communities
and have been active in politics, environmental concerns and other
issues.
After an unfortunate threat to close Jamestown Elementary a
couple of years ago it is now thriving and will have nearly 20 kids from
K-5th next year!

I've worked hard in pursuit of the maintenance and preservation of
surrounding public lands. I feel that the introduction of new families to
the area fits this ideal as there will remain much space and natural beauty,
besides, new folks mean new friends.
