Ward
in the Fall. Hard to see the cars for the
trees! |
|
Ward sits
further west than Jamestown and considerably further away in
character. Winter here is serious and because of that the year
round population is limited to about 165. There are, of
course, Boulder commuters here also but the vast majority are
somewhat more creative in their vocational choices. Ward
prides itself on it's "alternative" nature and anyone that happens
to drive through will likely appreciate this feature. The
surrounding area is spectacular. Indian Peaks Wilderness lies
just 5 miles or so to the west and the Peak to Peak Scenic Byway
bisects the community. There are a number of homes for sale here at
present. Give David a call and I can give you info on any of
these.

How to get to Ward? From North Boulder, up Lee Hill off of Broadway.
After 1 mile take hard left up Lee Hill. About 5 miles to Stop sign on
Left Hand Canyon. Go left (up), about 10 more miles to Ward. You've
arrived.
From Nederland take the Peak to Peak North to Ward. It'll take you
about 15 minutes along a beautiful drive.
